The summer dress.

If you run quick to Anthropologie you will probably still be able to snag this fabulous summer dress. On SALE too. I was meant to buy this dress. It was fate how I found it. Everyday for the past week I've been walking by the windows of Anthro admiring not this dress, but a different one. The original dress I thought I was meant to own was hot pink with an amazingly fun ribbon around the waist. I thought I was in love. I even dreamed about how I would wear it to reunion weekend, or a wedding this summer. But as soon as I saw the dress in person I knew I had been fooled. It was cheap looking. And their was NO ribbon (it was an added accessory, a belt turned backwards). AND it cost $98. Puh-lease. I was a little ticked off about the misrepresentation between the window display and the real thing that I did a quick 180 to walk out of the store. That's when I saw the rack. The rack filled with these funky-cute summery dresses. Orangey and pink and navy blue. They were calling my name. And so, I listened and tried one on. And it was so perfectly adorable I decided then and there that this would be my new dress. My new summer dress. I love summer and I love dresses. And I love love love this $48.00 colorful, pretty, flowery, fantastic dress. Yes, yes, YES.

I realize I am over obsessing on the dutch oven but I don't care.

You're welcome.

Gracey Bags

How adorable are these clutches that Bailey gave us as bridesmaids gifts?? They are all so fitting for each of us!
They are from Etsy (a true love of mine), a designer known as Graceybags who makes individual bags and also bags just for brides-to-be. (She also has a blog: Gracey Bags. The picture above is from her blog and I was so excited to find it because I didn't get a chance to take a picture of Emilie and Lauren's bags. Jackpot.)

The handmade bags come in all different fabrics. They are so colorful and fun!
Here is my bag...
Eee! LOVE!!!
Thanks Bails!!! Cutest idea EVER!

Photo Booth Snapshots

Fortunately I did not wake up with that monday morning feeling today. Probably because I am still on my wedding weekend high. After unpacking my things last night I forgot we had these fun pictures from the reception! Bailey and Kevin had a photo booth at their wedding for guests to take pictures and leave in a scrapbook. It was such a cute idea and we had so much fun posing for the camera. We even stole the bride away for a few minutes and got some pictures with her!

Bailey and Kevin's Wedding Weekend!

I've just gotten home from one of the most glorious weekends ever.
Bailey and Kevin got married!

It began Friday afternoon when we all arrived excited and ready celebrate. The rehearsal dinner was so fun and was a perfect beginning to a weekend of many smiles and many toasts. The food was delicious the whole weekend through (Zan can't stop talking about it!), the weather was terrific, and the ambiance of the resort was perfect. But most important of all-- The bride looked STUNNING and party was a blast. It was so amazing to be back with all my favorite people from home and to have met new friends along the way this past year. Here's some pictures of the celebration... Enjoy!

Knobs Galore.

I've been really into taking the old knobs off my dresser drawers and replacing them with these fun ones from anthropologie. They make the dressers look SO adorable, unique, and vintage.
Here are some other pretty ones...

Great Friends (and great Thai too).

2 weekends ago when the Brickhouse girls swung into town we ended up at a delicious Thai restaurant in the South End. My original plan had been to drink and dine at Toro, but the place is so popular there was a 31/2 hour wait (I do not kid you). SO we ditched that plan because we were terribly famished and headed to the nearest restaurant we could find. No need to look far, we stumbled on Equator, a nice Thai place right across the street. And whad'ya know- there was no wait. LUCKYYYYY. The atmosphere was so pleasant, the music (90's music, elevator style) was classy, the food excellent, and most importantly- the company was superb.

If your ever on Washington Street and there is a 31/2 hour wait at Toro, or if you are just looking for great Thai food at reasonable prices, head on over to Equator:
1721 Washington Street
Boston, Ma 02118

After dinner we headed over to Beacon Hill for free drinks at the Liberty Hotel (THANKS, Josh!). The Liberty Hotel used to be the old county jail. Now it's a SUPER fancy, EXTRA snazzy hotel. A great place to go when your friends are in town on a Saturday night.
"The jail’s granite exterior and expansive, light-filled interiors remain largely unchanged. Soaring 90 feet, the jail’s central atrium was beautifully preserved and forms the core of the hotel. It features the building’s trademark windows and historic catwalks. The preserved jail cells within the hotel restaurant and wrought-iron work on the windows are just two examples of preservation."

It was such a great time just catching up and remenising with the girls. We are all in different cities on the east coast so getting together is not always easy, but absolutely worth it. We really need to do this more often!! And to the B-house ladies that weren't able to make the trip: you were VERY much missed!! Love you guys! xoxoxo.

RUN, Forest, RUN.

Yesterday was Marathon Monday-- The Boston Marathon!!
Those runners are absolutely amazing. It's so inspiring. Makes me want to be a runner.

Unfortunately, I am not really a runner. Never did like it much. But guess what? Tomorrow I am getting up early and going for a run. My legs just feel like they want to after seeing the marathon. I realize this is just another one of my crazy impulses, but whatever, a girl can pretend.

I'm going down the street, around the reservoir and back.
Wish me luck.
